Looking forward to seeing old memories that our ancestors picked up along the way while traveling. There are post cards, receipts, menus, photos, and movie/games tickets stubs. Many African Americans rode the street cars and buses while visiting cities like New Orleans. If you look in photos books, dresser draws old pocketbooks etc .... oh, what stories they could tell you.
Maybe there is a old box in your parents garage containing the relics and memories of family trips. Like this old tourist transit map of New Orleans. Please take the time, a few minutes and write about your memories, perhaps as a child or teenager ... that trip you took with your family out west to California or north to Pittsburgh. What did you see or visit. What memories did you have with that cousin you hadn't seen since you were both little children. You would be surprised how memories will brain click to other memories. Write them down while you can.
