African American Cemeteries Need Attention

African Americans Cemeteries exist throughout our community. Some in use ... many abandoned.

Many African American Cemeteries need ground clearing and headstone cleaning.

If you visit an African American Cemetery that needs work ... let the manager know.  If you have family in one of these cemeteries ... clean up the area where your family is buried ...  cut the weeds and other growing plants and clean up not only your family's grave but graves in the area.  IMPORTANT ... Try to locate the names on abandoned headstones, take photos and place them on your social media site and share.
