Stories from old neighborhoods still echo with memories

From the Quarters of old yards to the fields of surrounding communities, these lands still echo stories of our ancestors’ lives.  These areas show traces and reminisces of the community in times past.  They can be seen in the mines, creeks, mountains, and animals. The top photo with the large limestone rock, was taken in the old Quarters of Leeds, Alabama near a cement company.  And in the bottom photo, are descendants of donkeys who lived in the old Mulga company mining camp.
